Layalina Restaurant has been in existence
since 1997 thanks to the patronage of our loyal customers and
ambitious newcomers. We named the restaurant after our daughter
Layal, Layalina comes from a beautiful Arabic word meaning, “Our
Nights.” So we welcome you and invite you to share in an authentic
ambiance, friendly conversation, and delightful cuisine so that our
nights will become your nights here with us, tonight and many more
nights to come.
Layalina Restaurant is a family owned and operated
establishment. Therefore, this restaurant is run by hard work and
dedication to ensure that every customer feels right at home, and
returns again as part of our Layalina family. Rima, owner and
executive chef, fills her cooking with love and special attention.
She greets her customers and welcomes them with open arms. By the
time they leave they are in awe of the amazing fresh homemade meal
they just encountered. They leave with promises to return and bring
friends and family.
Rima’s specials attract the most attention on a daily basis.
Her creations entice all, especially the food critiques of the
Washingtonian Magazine and the Washington Post Magazine. “The real
stars of this menu are the changing daily specials….Lamb and raisin
studded rice are wrapped in Phyllo dough and release a cloud of
spicy steam when the package is opened,” Washingtonian Magazine June
2002. All of our recipes come from a combination of Lebanese and
Syrian ancestry dating back many generations. Each dish is prepared
fresh as if it were made in our own home.
We take special pride in each item on our menu and we hope your
experience with us will be an unforgettable one. So sit back, relax,
and let us entice your senses through amazing aromas, incredible
sights, and most of all once in a lifetime flavor. |
